“The character Shanequa, played exceptionally by actress Sonya Wallace, was amazing to watch. Tired from a day at work, Shanequa relaxes with a glass of beer from a nearby bar. Suddenly, an arrogant and drunken fool decided it would be a good idea to harass a woman who’s not only Black but looks like she can cause some serious damage to another person. After deciding to tell her that “America’s is first. Take back our country,” she decides to take the high road, with all the rage starting from her feet, slowly rising to her chest reaching her throat and mouth and walks away. That shows courage and remarkable strength.”

“I think Sonya Wallace is a wonderful actress!  I adore her commitment to the craft… she is always going the extra mile.  Sonya realizes the importance of specifics, which makes her work extremely engaging and thought provoking.  Just remember ‘the truth always works’... In comparison… Viola Davis has nothing on Ms. Wallace :) (and by the way... I took her first headshots).”

"In my thirty years in this business, I have seen many 'pretenders' who call themselves artists.  Sonya Wallace is not one of them. It starts with talent, then there must be a commitment to working and living an artistic dream. All with the essential amount of passion.  Sonya Wallace has that. She is an artist."
